Velvet Goldmine [10 Apr 2005|12:00am] [ mood | and I'm out of a job. ] [ music | everyone is wearing platform boots and glitter eye-makeup... ] When I made this icon, there was a contest to see if this one was better or one with the text in a slightly different place. The inferior icon would have been... assimilated, had my friend Katie not objected and saved its little icony life. I even made her a banner for being such a considerate person. Ironically enough, the banner accidentally got deleted... Ok, trying to keep commenting down to a minimum. EDIT: THE BANNER IS NOT DELETED! I REPEAT, NOT DELETED! To view this little bit of genius on my part, go to obsessedwriter. I think this icon could have turned out a little better, but I must say I was OUTRAGEOUSLY pleased with the idea and general layout. I can only do so much with what few skills I have. Far more icons should have Placebo lyrics in. Especially if most of Placebo was in the movie the icon is from. This icon is very bright and simple. I like. There was no contest for these two, because although the *shags* at the end of the second one makes the icon look a little cluttered, I find it downright hilarious. I think it's a fair trade-off, style over humor. The picture is of low quality, because this was before I could do screencaps. THAT'S RIGHT. I can do those now. Huzzah. I don't like it when people know what the lyrics are from. Because they are from some little kid cartoon about walking, talking vegetables. I don't like that you know that now. want to be certified?
